Cyber@ge Pte Ltd, trading as Cyber Food Fiji (Cyber Food, we, us, or our), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you use:
the Cyber Food Fiji website;
the Cyber Food Fiji customer, Vendor, and delivery applications;
our ordering, payment, delivery, and customer-support services;
our social-media ordering and support channels; and
other services that link to this Privacy Policy.
Together, these are referred to as the Services.
This policy applies to customers, website visitors, account holders, Vendor representatives, delivery personnel, applicants, and other people who communicate or transact with Cyber Food.
Where a Vendor independently collects or uses personal information—for example, through its own website or loyalty programme—the Vendor’s privacy policy also applies to that activity.
The information we collect depends on how you use the Services.
We may collect:
your name;
email address;
mobile number;
password or other account credentials in protected form;
profile image;
preferred language and communication settings; and
information received when you sign in using Google, Facebook, or Apple.
We do not receive your social-login password. The provider may give us information such as your name, email address, profile identifier, or profile image according to the permissions you approve.
We may collect:
items ordered, Vendor, quantities, prices, discounts, and instructions;
order date, status, collection time, delivery time, and order history;
delivery address, map pin, latitude and longitude, directions, and delivery notes;
customer, Vendor, and courier communications concerning the order;
delivery confirmation, failed-delivery information, and complaint details; and
ratings, reviews, photographs, or other content you submit.
We may collect:
selected payment method;
transaction reference, amount, payment status, refund status, and billing records;
limited card or payment details supplied by a payment provider, such as card type or the last digits of a card; and
information needed to investigate disputed, failed, or suspicious transactions.
Full card details are generally collected and processed by the authorised payment provider rather than stored directly by Cyber Food.
For certain orders or payment methods, including some first-time, high-value, cash-on-delivery, or higher-risk orders, we may request reasonable verification. This may include:
a valid identification document or an image of it;
the name and photograph shown on the document;
payment ownership or transfer confirmation; and
records of verification checks.
We use this information only for identity verification, fraud prevention, safety, dispute handling, and legal compliance. We will not request identification through an unofficial account or channel.
With device permission, the customer application may collect your approximate or precise location to:
help you select an address or place a map pin;
confirm whether delivery is available in your area;
calculate or estimate delivery distance and charges; and
display relevant Vendors and delivery information.
During an active delivery, location information may be used to coordinate the order and show delivery progress.
When a delivery person is signed in and marked online or working, the delivery application may collect precise location in the foreground and, where the delivery person has granted permission, in the background. This is used for dispatch, route coordination, customer tracking, safety, delivery verification, service quality, and payment or dispute records.
Location collection stops when the relevant permission or work status is switched off, subject to how the device operating system handles background processes. Previously recorded delivery information may remain in our records for the purposes explained in this policy.
You can control location permission in your device settings. Some delivery features may not work properly without it.
For Vendors and delivery personnel, we may also collect:
business, employment, or contractor details;
identification and contact details;
restaurant, shop, vehicle, licence, banking, tax, and payment information;
availability, online/offline status, assigned orders, routes, delivery performance, and earnings;
training, support, incident, complaint, and safety records; and
documents reasonably required for onboarding, verification, payment, or compliance.
When you contact us, we may collect messages, call details, emails, live-chat records, attachments, feedback, survey responses, and information provided through WhatsApp, Viber, social media, or another approved support channel.
Please do not send sensitive information unless we request it through an approved channel and it is reasonably necessary.
We may automatically collect:
IP address;
device type, operating system, browser, app version, language, and identifiers;
login, page, screen, click, session, crash, and performance information;
referring page, campaign information, and interaction with messages or advertisements;
security logs and suspected-fraud signals; and
cookie, advertising, or similar identifiers, subject to your settings and consent where required.
We may receive information from Vendors, couriers, payment providers, social-login providers, mapping providers, advertising and analytics providers, fraud-prevention services, public sources, and people who place or receive an order on your behalf.
If you provide another person’s details—for example, when sending food to someone—you must have permission to do so and must provide only the information reasonably needed for delivery.
We use personal information to:
create and manage accounts;
display available Vendors, products, menus, and delivery areas;
accept, process, prepare, collect, deliver, and support orders;
calculate charges and process payments, refunds, and settlements;
communicate order updates through the app, push notification, SMS, telephone, email, or approved messaging channels;
dispatch couriers and provide delivery tracking;
verify identity, payment, and eligibility for selected services;
prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and unsafe activity;
provide customer, Vendor, and courier support;
investigate complaints, refunds, missing items, failed deliveries, accidents, or disputes;
administer promotions, vouchers, loyalty features, and competitions;
personalise and improve the Services;
measure website, application, campaign, and advertising performance;
send marketing communications where permitted and according to your preferences;
maintain records, perform accounting, and meet tax, legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations;
enforce our Terms and Conditions; and
establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We may also use information in aggregated or de-identified form where it no longer reasonably identifies an individual.
Our website and applications may use cookies, software development kits, tags, pixels, and similar technologies.
These may include:
essential technologies required for login, security, checkout, preferences, and core functionality;
functional technologies that remember settings and improve usability;
analytics technologies, including Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics, that help us understand how the Services are used;
performance and diagnostic technologies, which may include Firebase Crashlytics, to identify crashes and technical problems;
communication technologies, which may include Firebase Cloud Messaging, to send app notifications; and
advertising technologies, including Google Ads measurement or remarketing tools, where enabled, to measure campaigns and show more relevant advertising.
Google Tag Manager may be used to manage website tags. The tags loaded through it may collect information according to their own purpose and configuration.
These providers may receive device, usage, cookie, advertising, conversion, or diagnostic information. Their processing is also governed by their own privacy terms.
You can manage optional cookies through our consent controls, where available, and through your browser, device, Google, or advertising settings. Blocking essential technologies may prevent parts of the Services from working.
We may send service messages necessary for your account or order, such as verification, payment, preparation, collection, delivery, refund, and security updates.
With your permission or where otherwise permitted, we may also send promotions, offers, news, or recommendations. You may opt out of marketing by using the unsubscribe option, changing your app settings, disabling promotional notifications, or contacting us.
Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary order, account, safety, or legal communications.
We may share only the information reasonably needed with:
The Vendor receives information needed to prepare and manage the order, such as the order details, customer name or reference, instructions, and relevant support information.
The assigned courier receives information needed to collect and deliver the order, which may include your name, phone number, delivery address, map pin, directions, order reference, payment status, and delivery notes.
Customers may see the assigned courier’s first name, contact method, location during an active delivery, and delivery progress. A person receiving an order may receive information needed to complete the handover.
Payment gateways, banks, mobile-wallet providers, and refund providers receive transaction information needed to authorise, process, reconcile, or investigate payments.
We may use providers for cloud hosting, database services, mapping, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, email, SMS, customer support, security, fraud prevention, document storage, and professional advice. They may access information only to provide contracted services and must handle it appropriately.
Information may be shared with Cyber Food affiliates where reasonably necessary to operate and support the Services. If Cyber Food is involved in a genuine merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale, relevant information may be transferred subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice.
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, a valid court or government request, protect a person’s safety, investigate fraud or wrongdoing, enforce an agreement, or establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
We may share information where you ask us to or give permission.
We do not sell personal information for money.
Some technology, cloud, analytics, communications, mapping, social-login, and payment providers may process or store information outside Fiji.
Where information is processed internationally, we take reasonable steps to select reputable providers, limit information to what is needed, use appropriate contractual or technical protections, and require information to be handled consistently with this policy and applicable law.
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including to:
operate an active account and provide the Services;
complete orders, refunds, payouts, and customer support;
maintain accounting, tax, transaction, and business records for the period required by law;
investigate fraud, safety incidents, complaints, and disputes;
enforce agreements or handle legal claims; and
maintain security, backups, and system integrity.
Retention periods vary by category. For example:
account information is generally kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward;
order and transaction records are retained for operational, accounting, tax, dispute, and legal purposes;
identity documents are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for verification, fraud prevention, a related dispute, or a legal requirement;
delivery and location records are retained for delivery verification, safety, payments, support, disputes, and service improvement; and
marketing information is retained until you opt out or it is no longer needed.
Information may remain for a limited time in protected backups before deletion or anonymisation is completed.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. These may include access controls, authentication, restricted staff permissions, encrypted transmission where appropriate, logging, backups, monitoring, and service-provider safeguards.
No internet transmission or electronic storage system is completely secure. You should use a strong password, protect verification codes, keep your device secure, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.
Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification, you may ask us to:
confirm whether we hold personal information about you;
provide access to information associated with your account;
correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
delete information that is no longer required;
close your account;
withdraw optional consent;
stop marketing communications; or
explain how we have handled a privacy concern.
Some information cannot be deleted immediately where it is needed to complete an order, protect another person, prevent fraud, retain legally required records, resolve a dispute, enforce an agreement, or exercise or defend a legal claim.
You may update certain profile information through the application. For other requests, contact us using the details below. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You can also control app permissions—including location, camera, photos, microphone, and notifications—through your device settings. Disabling a permission may limit the related feature.
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for or collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate involvement from a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us. We will investigate and take reasonable steps to delete or restrict the information where required.
People under 18 may use the Services only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian, as explained in our Terms and Conditions.
The Services may link to third-party websites, applications, social networks, payment services, or app stores. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for a third party’s independent processing, but we remain responsible for our own handling of personal information.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our Services, technology, providers, business practices, or legal obligations. We will publish the updated version with a revised effective date.
Where a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the website, application, email, or another appropriate channel.
